{A New Hat}

Our little Ella got a {new hat} on Thursday. Ella has Plagiocephaly {abnormal head shape} she has favored her right side of her head. Which causes parietal right occipital flattening, left frontal flattening and associated facial asymmetry. This is normal for babies who have acid reflux, they try to find a comfortable position and stick with it. We tried for over two months all the re-positioning, and neck exercises, but at three months she started to roll and we couldn't do anything about it. So here we are with a little helmet for our baby girl. She has to be in it for 23 hours a day. We can take it off for bath time and cleaning the helmet and that's it! We have to make weekly trips out to Cranial Technologies which is way out in Phoenix at the children's hospital. {about 45 min with out traffic} So far it hasn't been to bad, the only hard time is sleeping. She sleeps on her tummy, and she can't seem to get confortable. She also has yet another cold. So nights are no fun at our house. The good news is she only has to have it on for 8-10 weeks! Thats not to bad!

**I am going to get around to posting our christmas pictures and some others that I have not gotten round to posting. Life has been none stop for the last two months!

I like the bigger size or your pictures. Oh, sweet Ella. Gosh, those 8-10 weeks will be over before you know it. ...making other plans to visit the attractions in that area or going to lunch might help soften the drive/waiting room time. Good Luck. I hope she is adjusting well, and finding a comfy position to sleep in. Did your mom ever make you sleep with rollers in your hair? I hated it. It was so uncomfortable, so I can't even imagine a helmet. Stick with it, so it becomes second nature to her:)
