Ella Grace

She's here!

Ella Grace came in to the world at 5:25pm on Saturday July 19. She was 7lbs 11oz and 21in! My water broke around 12:00 Saturday afternoon. I called Dustin at work and told him what happened, he made it home in record time, he didn't know that we had a while before the baby would be here. Everything went well with the delivery. I was running a high fever after the delivery, so they did blood work on Ella to see if i had passed an infection to her during delivery and found that she had a really high immature white blood cell count. She ended up getting admitted into the special care unit for a few days after i was discharged. Her cultures came back negative so she was able to come home but, she was really jaundice, so she had to say to be under lights for two days. After a crazy week we were able to bring her home!

Ella is such a sweet baby, she reminds me so much of what Madelynn looked like when she was a newborn! We are so excited to have her here. Madelynn loves being a big sister and helping get diapers and burp cloths for me. She had a ruff few days with having no mom and her life being turned up side down but, after a few days of me being home and her aunt ClaireBear being here she is doing great!

I got Madelynn some water paints. She loves them! She has been painting for the last hour!

The 4th of July

We were already to head out to the D-back base ball game, and the firework show after the game, (it's great the baseball games here are inside, that means AC, then they open the retractable roof for the firework show...what could be better then that for a pregnant lady when it's 110 out side on the 4th?) when we heard the news on in the back round saying the game was sold out! Not very good planning on our part and Madelynn was so sad she didn't get to go to the baseball game and see fireworks!
