Ode to Two Bear
**Two Bear was a gift from my great aunt & uncle when I was two.
It was two o' clock in the morning and I've had a bad dream, the kind that makes you afraid to go back to sleep. So I tiptoe in to Madelynn's room to check on her. And laying in her crib with her is my Two Bear. I stop for a moment to think of all my memories and the places Two Bear has been with me and all the fun and comforting times I had spent with that bear. Loveys are sometimes call security or transitional objects because they help children feel secure as they make the transition from mom's safe embrace to the bigger, scary world. It made me happy to think that Two Bear could help comfort my sweet Madelynn. So as I watched Madelynn sleeping with Two Bear in her arm, somehow it made me feel a little safer and I could go back to sleep.

Daily proof that I am a mom
The daily little things that make it impossible to forget that I am lucky enough to be a mother to my little Madelynn. While I might not be thrilled about changing what feels like my hundredth diaper of the week or tripping over Lighting McQueen as I walk down my little hallway, I am blessed by these little tasks/obstacles that make my daily life at the moment and wouldn't want it any other way!

Thankful we should be
Thanksgiving brings about great memories of the turkey and dressing, green beans and potatoes, pumpkin pies, and a number of other delicious dishes that appeared on the table. There was always family, bringing more scrumptious dishes. And, we ate until we couldn't eat anymore. We sat and talked, and then had pie and ice cream. What great memories!
The tradition has passed down into the families of the children. From my grandparents, mom and dad, and aunts and uncles, down to me and my siblings and my cousins. The dinner I make, might not be as big as those I remember when I was young, but good, just the same. We build memories for our children that they can some day share with their young.
{Gratitude}-
the state of being grateful : thankfulness
Living in thanksgiving daily is a habit that will enrich our lives and the lives of those we love.

The Zoo!
We went to the zoo today! It was such a beautiful day today! Only a high of 75! The last time that Madelynn went to the zoo she was 14 months. She had such a fun time walking around looking at the animals!

Pumpkins!
My mom and I had fun making these pumpkins when she was in town last month! It was fast and so easy! I told my sister in-laws that I would get this to them like three weeks ago! Sorry I totally forgot! I know it's like a week after Halloween, but there is always next year! (If you click on the picture it will enlarge the picture and you can read the directions on how to do the pumpkins!)

So Happy
Madelynn right now is so smart, so loving, and so demanding! Over all she is a typical two year old ~ a sweet little helper one minute, a trouble maker the next! She is growing into such a pretty little girl who makes every one so happy! To day we went to the park by our house, she loves to go "swimming" aka swinging or sliding! She can say the word swing and slid, but when ever she puts the ing on to the word it is swimming. I love watching her explore new things!
